Public Works

The Public Works Department of the City of Green River is a service oriented department with six divisions. Our specific areas of service include engineering, drainage maintenance, wastewater collection and treatment, engineering, solid waste collection and disposal, recycling, water distribution, maintenance of streets and alleys, snow removal, and maintenance of the entire City fleet. We work to provide effective and efficient service to the public in all of these functional areas. 

About 40 employees, expanding to near 60 during the summer months, staff the total department. The divisions include: Administration, Engineering, Fleet Maintenance, Streets, Solid Waste, and Utility.

The Utility Division is located at 220 East Teton and the Scalehouse/Landfill is located at the corner of Upland and Uinta. All other Public Works offices are located at 325 East Teton.
