Welcome to the Human Resources Department
Welcome to the Human Resources Department's web page. Our department is staffed by Debbie Klein Robertson, Director of Human Resources; Kathy Mount, Human Resources Analyst; and Amber Hutson, Administrative Assistant. We are here to provide services to the City, its citizens, and/or the City employees in the following areas:
- Ensure and facilitate compliance with state and federal laws and regulations including Family Medical Leave, Occupational Safety and Health, Workers' Compensation, equal rights laws, wage and hour laws, equal employment opportunity laws, etc.
- Develop, update, and interpret personnel policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new employees.
- Develop, update, and administer classification and compensation policies and procedures.
- Administer employee benefit programs.
- Develop, update, and administer risk management and safety programs, processes, and procedures to ensure that City assets and human resources are protected from damage/injury or loss.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee outreach, recognition, and organizational development to enhance workforce interaction and morale with the ultimate goal of creating the most positive and productive workforce possible.
- Coordinate internal communications including employee newsletters.
