The Green River Police Department is led by Chief of Police John Love.

The Objectives of the Green River Police Department include the following:

  * Crime Prevention through public education and community involvement.

  * Deterrence of crime through the use of visual patrol.

  * Apprehension of offenders and initiation of judicial proceedings.

                 * Recovery and return of property lost as a result of crime.

                 * Promoting safe movement of traffic through traffic law enforcement.

                 * Providing public service through the response to calls for help.  

                 * Terror awareness and prevention training to PD and Citizens.

           The Green River Police Department is located on the first floor of City Hall 

           at 50 East 2nd North.  Police services are available 24 hours a day-everyday.

           There are armed plain-clothed and uniformed Officers on sight for your prote-

           ction.

           Administrative assistance is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday,
