“The Green River Police Department supports the Mission of the City of Green River by providing to the citizens and visitors of Green River a well trained, professional, courteous Law Enforcement agency.  We are dedicated to protecting the safety, security and welfare of all, promoting economic stability and growth to both businesses and residents, through proactive Law Enforcement, while making the best use of the resources provided to us by our citizens.”

The objectives of the Green River Police Department include the following:
  • Apprehending offenders and initiating judicial proceedings
  • Deterring crime through the use of visual patrol
  • Recovering and returning property lost as a result of crime
  • Promoting crime prevention through public education and community involvement
  • Promoting the safe movement of traffic through traffic law enforcement
  • Responding to calls for help
  • Providing terror awareness and prevention training to Police Department staff and citizens

Administrative Assistance
Administrative assistance is available 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding City holidays. For more information or to obtain a copy of a police report, please see the Records Division.

Individuals requesting a City of Green River Police Department shoulder patch need to send a self addressed stamped envelope and $3.00 to the Green River Police Department.  Email of Facebook requests for shoulder patches will not be honored.  Thank you.
